Compassion Closet is a free community program that provides gently used clothing, shoes, and small household goods as well as new essentials such as diapers and hygiene products to 60-75 families a month.

Our approach centers around the voiced needs of the client through our request form, currently offered in Spanish and English, for direct client requests. The form opens on the first of every month and remains open until we have received requests from 35 families. We open the form at 8am, and typically by 8:30 am we are at capacity. The remainder of our requests come from our Community Partners.

Compassion Closet differs from other local community clothing programs in a few important ways.

1. We accept requests directly from clients and have no eligibility criteria. This is especially important within our immigrant client population, as many are undocumented and understandably hesitant to share personal information.

2.We offer delivery of orders, as most of our clients do not have reliable means of transportation.

3.Everything is FREE, including delivery, and clients may request items from us every two months for as long as necessary. This means as children grow and seasons change, we can continue to offer support.

Community Partners

In order to help provide comprehensive support to our clients, we connect on an ongoing basis with many community partners.
