An extension of the Compassion Closet, our gift giving program refocuses requests around the winter holidays. Families with young children from our client list are invited to share their children’s names, ages, and three items from their wishlists. Children and families are then paired with sponsors who are committed to fulfilling at least one gift wish per child. We aim to match families with sponsors who have similarly aged children, as this affords the opportunity for youth to more easily participate in the selection of gifts. Our volunteers, church groups, and local schools participate in this program as both sponsors and deliverers.
