The Coalition for Cultural Compassion believes that representation is so important and that all children should see themselves in their heroes. That is why we are thrilled to celebrate diversity and the spirit of the winter season with our annual Visit with Santa Experience featuring a Black Santa and Mrs. Claus! ALL are welcome to come enjoy hot chocolate, festive music, holiday crafts and activities, story time with Mrs. Claus, and, of course, see Santa Claus himself. Photo opportunities are available for all who would like a special memory to keep. This event is FREE and open to the community!

It’s such a special experience to be able

to have my children represented! - Nikki H.

Mrs. Claus & Santa are the absolute best! They were so patient and kind - Love this every year!  -Sherolyn G.

What a great event! Thank you for providing this! -Mishell W.

Zuri loved seeing Santa today. I had been avoiding taking her to see Santa for the last three years. It was important for her (and I) to see a Santa that represents her. Thank you for this. -Somali W.

EVENT FAQ’s

  • Do I Need a Reservation to Attend?

    • No, you do not! Although we do offer first come, first serve reserved time slots, all walk-in guests are joyfully welcomed! In general, the wait time to see Santa is typically under 10 minutes regardless of having a reservation.

  • How do I make a reservation?

    • On November 1, 2024, we will post a link on this page to our reservation form!

  • What can I expect when I arrive?

    • Upon arriving, you will be greeted at our Welcome Table and given a brief overview of the event offerings. In our main room we have holiday music, craft tables, fun games, refreshments, and, of course, Santa himself! In a smaller room, guests may visit Mrs. Claus for story time. This is a quieter space and a great option for children who may need a sensory break.

  • How will I get my photo with Santa?

    • When you reach the front of the line to see Santa, you will meet Elf Danielle who has been helping families make a special connection with Santa for the past 8 years! Guests have the opportunity to talk with Santa and share their wishes, and then we welcome you to take photos with your own camera or phone. Elf Danielle is also at the ready to use your device to capture a whole family shot!

  • Is the entire event free?

    • Yes! We do accept donations, but the entire event is free to the community!

  • How do I sign up as a volunteer for this event?

    • Thank you for your interest! We will need volunteers to help us decorate the venue on Friday December 6th, to help us run the event on December 7th, and to help us clean up the venue immediately after the event. Please fill out our Volunteer Form and we will reach out to you with more details!
